Landscape Poster Design
Psalm 150 Poster
For this assignment, I researched the graphic designer Seymour Chwast so I could create a poster that resembled his style. His work is often playful with bright colors and flat dimensions. I chose to use the verse Psalm 150 because it is joyful. I chose to use some of the instruments in the verse to make them dance around in a circle to their music! The additional clothing or hair was to give them more personality.
Illustrator Poster
This was for a class project where we were shown different posters to look at and pick which one we wanted to revamp. I chose one of the landscape posters because of the figures and buildings; I saw potential in what I could make with the different elements in the poster. I chose bright, pastel colors as the theme with different textures and tones as well. I replaced, deleted, and reimagined the poster to make it my own.
Kelmscott Typographic Spread Poster
For this poster spread I was given four subjects to choose from and research; I chose to study William Morris and the Kelmscott Press. I wrote a 1200 word description and gather the detailed imagery that Morris uses in the press, then organized these elements onto a spread. I wanted my design to read as it was influenced directly from the period itself.
